ABOUT ME

WHAT MOMENT DO YOU SKI FOR?

There is mostly good moments and barely any bad moments when skiing with good friends and I always try to give everything to keep things that way. I ski for the moment when I feel safe with the right people in the right place and at the right time. Then I can get the sensation of flow where everything around me gets blurry and I can only hear the noise of the wind blowing past your helmet. The Moment where I can really feel every turn from my ski tips trough my legs and up trough my whole body.

HOW DO YOU RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES FOR THE NEXT CHALLENGE?

I like to do something completely different, eat good food and be organized and precise with the gear packing.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE? WHY DOES THIS QUOTE RESONATE WITH YOU?

„You win some, you loose some, but if you never give up you will get where you want to be“.

HOW DO YOU CONQUER DIFFICULT SITUATIONS?

I try to gather objective informations and then listen my gut feeling.

WHAT SACRIFICES HAVE YOU HAD TO MAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY AND WERE THEY WORTH IT?

Getting out early instead of Sleeping out long, going to the gym instead of the club and drinking beer instead of vodka are some of the small daily compromises I take to be and get where I want to be. And yess it’s more then worth it! I like beer better then Vodka anyway.

HOW DOES YOUR MINDSET (OR ATTITUDE) INFLUENCE YOUR PERFORMANCE?

Mindset is everything! I can only do what I can at least imagine and believe in my head before and mostly everything which I could see in my head turned in to reality so far.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT SKIING?

The question is what I don’t do when I’m not skiing? I’m not in to base jumping or kitesurfing yet, but who knows, maybe I’ll get there at some point. During Summer I’m mostly climbing and flying and I usually get on to 1-2 extrem kayaking expeditions mostly to the Himalayas and Norway.

WHAT STRATEGY DO YOU USE TO OVERCOME PRESSURE AND STRESS FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE?

I try to focus, really intensly and only on the task I got in front of me. I visualize and I try to be clear. Nothing else! No small talk or conversation which isn’t a direct contributor to the success of the mission. In case of a personally meaningful success, a good party is the right thing to do for me.
