Precisely Tuned Flex

Two types of wood, ash and poplar, are combined in a single woodcore. By varying the quantity and length of the different-density wood stringers, we create three distinct flex zones and precisely tune the way each Firebird ski performs.

The Trueblend Race Woodcore places a stiffer flex zone underfoot for stability, power and edge grip; a medium flex zone in front of and behind the binding for control; and softer zones at the tip and tail for smooth turn initiation and release.

This precise distribution allows us to control the flex throughout the entire length of the ski and tune it for every size.

Race-Type Construction

Developed directly by our Racing Department, the Race-Type Construction combines a Trueblend Race Woodcore with full-length Titanal layers from tip to tail for powerful edge control and precision.
Phenol sidewalls increase torsional stiffness and grip, while the dual-Titanal construction in the tip, separated by a thin rubber damping layer, creates a progressive flex for smooth, controlled power throughout the turn.

3 TI construction

Race flex and driving precision

Engineered to work in harmony with the Trueblend Race Woodcore, the 3Ti Construction uses three distinct areas of stiffness to match its progressive flex.
The result is smooth and precise turn initiation, powerful grip and support underfoot, and dynamic acceleration out of every turn.

2 TI Construction

The proven Blizzard 2Ti Construction combines two layers of Titanal with the Trueblend Race Woodcore to deliver reliable power and control.
Precise edge grip, a smooth and responsive flex, and confidence-inspiring stability make it a versatile platform for high-performance skiing.

TI Insert Construction

A single Titanal layer creates a smoother and more accessible expression of Firebird performance.
It delivers dependable edge grip and stability with easier turn initiation and a more forgiving feel, for skiers who want precision and control without the demands of race-level power.

Performance in Every Detail

Race Precision

Firebird Race Plates are designed to work together with the ski to enhance precision and power transmission.
Their sliding function allows the ski to flex naturally, while the Power Metal Bridge supports precise turn initiation and consistent control throughout the arc.

Durable protection

Performance should be built to last.
The upper Titanal layer extends all the way to the edge of the ski, directly beneath the top foil. By exposing the Titanal along the upper edge, impacts are absorbed by the metal rather than the top foil, helping reduce scratches and chipping while giving Firebird its distinctive premium finish.
