PERFECT BALANCED FLEX
Two different types of wood, ash and poplar, specifically blended into one woodcore. The different density stringers are customized in quantity and length creating 3 different areas of density to precisely control the flex.

RACING PERFORMANCE
The Trueblend Race Woodcore is designed with a harder flex zone in the center, that provides stability and edge grip, a medium flex zone in front of and behind the binding that provides control, and a soft flex zone in the tip and tail that provides easy turn initiation and release.
Trueblend technology allows us to precisely control the flex throughout the whole length of the ski and in every size.

HIGH DENSITY WOOD STRINGERS
The TRUE BLEND WOODCORE technology is made of a blend of two different woods. The high density wood stringers are built into the ski wood core.
By modifying their length and number, we can control the flex very precisely.
Harder flex in the center where you need more strength and softer in the tip and tail for more forgiveness and an easy power release.

Thanks to the True Blend WoodCore technology we are able to control the flex precisely through the whole length of the ski, maintaining the desidered behaviour the same for all sizes.

We have designed a specific Trueblend Free Woodcore for our freeride / back country category skis. It combines beech and poplar – two wood types that guarantee performance – with paulownia for a lightweight, yet high-performance wood core.
The result: the right flex to cover for all backcountry requirements in a lighter package.

The Trueblend Free Woodcore specifically positions three different densities of wood together to form a woodcore that is specifically designed to optimize the flex of the ski and deliver a smooth and balanced feeling.
This blending of the different densities of wood creates three distinct flex zones; a softer flex zone in the tip and tail areas, that facilitates easy turn initiation and release, a medium flex zone in front of and behind the binding, that helps deliver confidence and control and finally a stiffer flex zone in the center, underneath the binding, that guarantees perfect edge grip and stability.

Accessible Performance.
Engineered for balance, the Trueblend Tour Woodcore combines lightweight paulownia with stronger poplar in a precise ratio to achieve smooth skiability and reliable strength. By using less carbon in the construction, but with more poplar in the core, we deliver a ski that’s versatile, playful, and confident in every turn. The blend provides flex where it matters most: strength underfoot for stability and softer tips and tails for effortless turn initiation and enhanced terrain adaptability.

Blizzard had been playing with new materials and construction concepts for over 75 years. Our touring skis express what this endless engineering process leads to. Combining an update version of our Carbon Drive approach with the craftiest of Trueblend Tour woodcores, and we are able to make touring skis that are not just light-weight -- but the righ-weight. Making light skis is important, but finding the ideal weight to ensure both up and downhill performance is more important. The introduction of our touring specific Trueblend woodcore was the key to finding this sweet spot. This Trueblend Tour woodcore uses a specific blend of woods to deliver perfect flex for touring requirements. Paulownia offers an unbeatable strength-to-weight ratio, while poplar gives high energy performance without sacrificing durability.

Inspired by the carbon armor from the Firebird collection, the carbon fiber plate is brought outside of the ski body which allows it to flex freely. In this way the ski turns out to be less demanding while still providing a very high level of performance.
