ABOUT ME

I am a professional skier and adventurer who never stands still. I was raised in a mountain guiding and ski instructor family in Italy so skiing comes naturally to me and has always been my biggest passion and source of motivation to go beyond my limits. I started skiing when I was only 3 years old, and by the age of 8 I was already training for, and competing in, national and international Alpine ski races. After my racing career I became an Alpine Ski Instructor and Professional skier. In recent years I have been following my “nothing is un-skiable” philosophy, by traveling the world with my four-legged friend Argo, and skiing down inaccessible snow canals, rock surfaces, sand, grass and even volcanic ash. When I am not out on a new adventure exploring the most remote corners of the planet, I coach children, inspiring them to love, respect and preserve nature and sharing with them the unique feeling of freedom that comes from skiing. With my camera I also document my adventures in the outdoors, creating unique and authentic content to inspire others to get outside to enjoy – and at the same time respect – nature. My mission has always been to create an authentic connection with my followers and convey a positive message to make the world a better place.

What MOMENT do you ski for?

I ski to feel alive.

How do you recharge your batteries for the next challenge?

I love walking in the woods in the mountains, especially with my dog Argo, reading a book or watching Fantasy movies.

What’s your favorite quote? Why does this quote resonate with you?

My favorite personal quote is “Nothing is un-skiable” because I believe any surface from inaccessible snow canals, rock surfaces, sand, grass to even volcanic ash can be skied.

How do you conquer difficult situations?

With technical ability, competence, and the ability to manage the risk and variable situations in the mountains.

What sacrifices have you had to make to get to where you are today and were they worth it?

I left my home when I was a child and grew up in South Tyrol to improve my skiing skills and ability in order to compete in Ski Alpine Races in Europe. Afterwards I traveled around the world away from my family to follow my dream of freeriding in remote places. It was very challenging, but I think that the goal is to live a life on your terms.

How does your mindset (or attitude) influence your performance?

Mindset is everything. Staying focused is crucial for good performance.

What do you do when you aren’t skiing?

I usually stay home with my girlfriend and my dog Argo. I train in the gym or outdoors and plan my next trip and adventure. I also manage the Ski Instructor Association of the Marche region and coordinate the development of future ski instructors.

What strategy do you use to overcome pressure and stress for optimum performance?

I train a lot in the mountains in challenging situations to learn how to manage stress and strive to always become better.
