Tecnica introduces Agate, the first fast hiking shoe designed within the Women-To-Women initiative, with the support of scientific evidence. Made for fast hiking and exploring all types of technical mountain terrain, the new Agate has been designed according to women’s specific anatomy and requirements, combining comfort, flexibility and cushioning in a fresh, lightweight, protective design.

Specific fast hiking sporty fit
The Agate Speed has been designed around an activity-specific anatomical last to match the ergonomic and biometric needs of fast hikers. In addition, the Agate Speed carefully matches the more triangular shape, low volume and narrower heel bone of women
Stable foot support
The Pebax® foam insert of the Impulso technology sits in a balanced EVA midsole geometry, providing a lightweight, durable platform that supports the foot during intense fast hiking, keeping the shoe’s lateral stability when moving fast downhill or on uneven terrain. In addition, the V-Shaped ESS insert plate at the midfoot delivers torsional support and helps to prevent ankle injuries.
Responsive cushioning
The midsole unit features Tecnica's exclusive Impulso technology that combines the benefits of a high-rebound EVA and a Pebax® elastomer insert placed at the mid and front foot. The result is a dynamic and propulsive stride while maintaining balanced cushioning, agile performance with a smooth and fast transition, and a responsive toe-off when pushing hard to reach the summit.
Additional technologies & features
Toe bumper and upper TPU film
The upper of the shoe is protected by layers of TPU film laminated to the polyamide mesh for additional durability at critical areas, such as the heel, toe cap, and medial and lateral zones.
EVA Exoshell cage
Foot and midsole protection from rocks and scree is provided by the durable external EVA Exoshell Cage.
Backloop
The little loop helps the wearer to slide the foot in and out of the shoes effortlessly and can be used to hang them on your backpack or to the climbing harness.
Ortholite® footbed
The anatomically-shaped Ortholite® footbed is highly breathable and provides superior comfort and long-lasting performance.
Vibram® Megagrip™ Outsole
The Vibram® Megagrip outsole is made of a high-performance compound that offers unparalleled grip on dry and wet terrain. This compound is also best in its class for durability and ground adaptation.
Gore-Tex® invisible fit membrane
The Gore-Tex® Invisible Fit lining features a waterproof and breathable membrane to keep the feet protected, dry and comfortable in all seasons and weather.
