WOMEN’S NEEDS

We pay close attention to specific anatomy and women’ needs and want to deliver the specific features that female athletes and mountain enthusiasts’ feet require. This is the mission of our gender-specific approach and how we developed our women’s dedicated fast hiking shoe. Designed around the specific anatomy and women’s needs, Agate has the goal to combine ultimate comfort and protection in a lightweight and fast design on any terrain.

Starting from a dedicated female footlast, we provided a technical product solution to meet the needs of women’s feet.
The foundation of the shoe development is based on the specific last design: matching a multi-layer upper, a Pebax® foam, a dimensional midsole cage and the Ortholite® insole. With the anatomical last, a unique sandwich construction is delivered which then adapts to the shape of the foot, providing ultimate comfort.

Targeted flex points in the sole enhance flexibility and adaptability. Furthermore, they help take advantage of the foot’s natural rolling motion, providing propulsion and responsiveness at the forefoot in the phase of gait.

OVERSIZE MIDSOLE GEOMETRY

BALANCE ON RUGGED TERRAIN

The oversize midsole geometry cradles the foot for greater stability: the Pebax® foam sits into the EVA midsole providing a lightweight durable platform that is tailored to dedicated women’s last. This box construction provides greater stability on rugged terrain and an outstanding wrapping effect.
